Most of you know there is a (growing) group of us from Doug's Savage 10ML Message board that are spending ALLOT of our personal time and resources to populate this web site with useful information for anyone who needs to know anything about the Savage ML-I and ML-II muzzleloaders.
Doug started additional pages to the message board he called "the archive pages" to store valuable information that might get lost as more posts were added. This site (SAV10ml.com) doesn't replace Doug's Archive pages, and was never created too. Doug "captured" conversations between gun owners, designers, gunsmiths, hunters, hobbyist, and Savage muzzleloader enthusiast. Using that information he started collecting useful load and problematic data and started building "the archive pages". Doug's message board has been (and continues to be) a valuable resource for 10ML owners looking for info.
What we are trying to do with SAV10ML is trying to take the archive pages to another level. The idea is to make the data quick and easy to find. With photos for reference for the message board, like a library, and in reverse, the web site has a place you can talk to others about these great guns on Doug's message board.
When the SAV10ML site is fully populated we will need to refine it, and correct any mistakes. Please feel free to contact us by e-mail or on the message board if you see things that need attention. Really, it's your site too.
Adding information
to the site is welcome, as long as we can go over it first and make sure we're
staying "on subject" or not repeating ourselves too much. The site will continue
to evolve as we Savage 10ML users discover more and more. Send new 10ML users
here as you meet them, they can use the 2 sites and get up to speed quick.
If someone has already done a subject you'd like to contribute too, write
up an "add on" and send it to us. If it looks like it will help someone, we'll
put it up with the others.
I'd like to thank Doug, Donna, 1SHOT-1KILL, Edge, Scott, Mike, Paul, Jeremy, and Stinkypete, ,,(so many more names!!!) ALL OF YOU!! There's NO WAY I could HAVE done this myself! There are many more folks involved than that, some are busy with there lives at present, but will add some valuable parts to this site as soon as they can, some have given material and I (your host) haven't processed them all yet. Some only sent half of what I needed to get the job done. And that's OK, take your time.
Doug and Donna, ummmmm, "Mammaflinter" that is,,, have been great to work with, collecting stuff, fixing up text, writing up articles, and she doesn't even own a 10ML! (hey Doug, hint hint)

Photos: Could someone take a photos of there 10ML-I (not the ML-II) and send them to me I need a few more.(Side shots,whole gun).
TEXT: We could use some more articles, check the menu, you'll see what needs work, send them to Mammaflinter (she'll get them ready for me, thank you Mammaflinter!)

2-24-03 fixed the link in the second story I added yesterday, (*see above) also added a link too Toby's web site in the menu, I wanted to do something special with his link because of all the help he's given us, Doug suggested that we put it on the first page, And he's probably right, but I felt this way you can jump over to his place from any section here. We'll have to see how this works out. Also fixed links on this page....
2-26-03 Finished my stock and put final images up into after market stocks #2.
2-27-03 Fixed some spelling errors in the after market stocks #2. page, fixed a date on this page above.
3-1-03 moved the "scope cant" article over to the scope/sight page. Working on a Bench article (not up yet), will get help with this from the Message board group after I get it started. Found some link problems on this page and corrected them.
3-2-03 Finished first draft of Bench and shooting tips. Had Toby and Donna check it out then put it up on the site. Fixed yet another spelling error!
3-3-03 Fixed first draft of Bench and shooting tips. Slpelling erroerss (he he) and I left out a part of a sentence.
3-13-03 Received many, many photos from 1SHOT-1KILL (Bill Ball). Ran them through Photoshop and inserted a few into the sabots page. The rest went into the history page. I'll have to see If 1SHOT needs things rearranged.
3-??-03 Updated users harvest page (thank you Donna for your help! )
3-28-03 uploaded the start of the load testing page, (needs more work..)
4-7-03 fixed a bad link (oops!) and added another custom stock page with "Ronmars" gun.
4-20-03 added another page with my new stock.
