"drop in" After-market stocks for the Savage 10ML-II that I could
find.
And well worth the search.
John O. at Tiger Rifle and Shotgun made me another custom target-tactical style stock for my ML-II. This is my second stock from John. I wanted to give it "the look" so I asked john to build a "Maple/Walnut" (sounds like ice cream) laminate, similar to my last. But this time the gun was SS. We made some adjustments in the Cheek piece, and forearm. Like before John came through with flying colors. (Note: John O.makes many other styles of stock that'll fit your 10ML besides this!)
The stock came REAL smooth, It looked great out of the shipping container. The first thing I did was glass bed it. Then sanding. Then sprayed it with Spar, let dry for 3 days, then sanding again and spray,,,. Repeated this 4 times. Took over a week.
I also replaced the trigger with a "sharp shooter competition trigger", added a Nikon scope, Leupold mounts and an ACD bubble. I've also replaced the "noodle" (ram rod) with a custom non-anodized aluminum "power rod" (to complete "the look").
I ended up with
a sharp looking ML-II .
